A meeting of the Malden Retirement Board was held this day June 17, 2026, at 8:42 AM in conference room #105 at Malden City Hall, 215 Pleasant St. Malden, MA with the following present: Warren Atkinson Jr., John Hall, Scott Lucey, Charles Ranaghan. Staff: Director, Robert Soohoo, and Board Secretary Maria LoGrasso.

Call to Order

The Chairman, Mr. Atkinson Jr. called the meeting to order at 8:42 AM. The Board Secretary Maria LoGrasso took an attendance roll call vote.

Discussion of Mayor's Appointee Board Member – The Mayor will appoint a new Board Member effective July 1, 2026.

Update with transition to GIC for Retirees – The retirement staff discussed the work and time involved with the transition of the present health insurance to GIC health insurance.

VOTE: The Board agreed to approve 4 hours of overtime instead of comp time for Retirement Board staff member and to approve overtime for staff members overtime with prior approval for future occurrences that require additional time worked. Motion by Mr. Ranaghan and seconded by Mr. Hall, it was voted: *All present were in favor
