Approval of Minutes

From: March 21, 2026 Approved By: Kevin Molis Seconded By: Denise Cowie

The following were considered for approval:

  1. The Licensing Board received an application for a One Day License for Friends of the Malden Public Library. The One Day License is for the Annual Wine tasting Gala to be held at 36 Salem Street on May 15, 2026 from 6:30PM to 9:00PM. Huy Nguyen from Friends of the Malden Public Library was present.

The board voted to approve the One-Day License. Motion to approve was made by Denise Cowie, Seconded by Kevin Molis 2 Yea 0 Nay

  1. The Licensing Board received an application for a Farmers Market Permit for Blisspoint Meadery. The Farmers market will take place every Wednesday starting June 17, 2026 to October 28, 2026. The Farmers Market will be located in City Hall Plaza from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Jeff Venuti owner was present.

The board voted to approve the Farmers market permit with conditions that the vendor agreement be signed and dated and emailed to the Liquor License Clerk. Motion to approve was made by Denise Balboni-Cowie, Seconded by Kevin Molis 2 Yea 0 Nay

  1. The Licensing Board received an application for a change in officers and stock interest for Vishwaraja Corp DBA Jay's Wines & Spirits located at 77 Commercial Street. Ravi Patel new Officer and stock interest along with Attorney Alexandra Bourgeois from Demakis, Megaloudis and Gakis Law was present. Attorney Bourgeois confirmed that the business is to stay the same and there will be no changes to managers, how the business is run and day-to-day operation.

The board voted to approve the change. Motion was made by Deniese Balboni-Cowie, Seconded by Kevin Molis. 2 Yea 0 Nay
