A special meeting of the Cemetery Board of Trustees was held the Forest Dale Cemetery, 150 Forest Street, Malden on the above date, in accordance with the Notice of Meeting, as provided in G.L. c.30A,§§ 18-25. Notice was filed with the City Clerk's Office, City of Malden.

President James Tuxbury called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. Members present were James Tuxbury, Vincent Miraglia, Joseph Barriss, Sheila Fermano and Superintendent Chris Rosa.

Discussion on Potential Gravesites – President Tuxbury informed the Trustees the purpose of this meeting was to approve monies to add gravesites to an existing section of the Cemetery. He turned the meeting over to the Superintendent.

Superintendent Rosa said the Cemetery was almost out of gravesites. However, there was a particular section of the Cemetery near the guardrail that had never been utilized due to the sandy soil. He said he would like to use funds from the Perpetual Care account to cover the cost of the installation of liners, excavation of the area, and hauling out materials. There would be two (2) rows of graves for a conceivable thirty-eight (38) graves. He suggested one row would be all double-deep and the other could be double-deep and singles. The cost for materials and labor would be in the vicinity of Forty-five Thousand ($45,000) Dollars. Superintendent Rosa said he spoke with Treasurer Dan Grover who said the Cemetery could use Perpetual Care funds for this purpose.

Motions was made by Sheila Fermano and seconded by Vincent Miraglia to approve that funds be taken from the Perpetual Care account for additional gravesites in Section 1-C, which is an existing and developed section of the Cemetery; all were in favor. CARRIED
